A Believer:

Manjoo speaks about all the pros and cons that Facebook has as an online social network. He makes a very good point when he speaks of using Facebook as a way to communicate with all of the family that he has that is out of the country. Most of my family members live outside of the state and some are even outside of the country and Facebook is a very simple and free way to communicate with my loved ones that are far from home. I understand that there may be the feeling of being watched because of people that monitor your wall and look at every picture that one uploads, however, there are very easy ways for you to block people from seeing certain things on your page.

A Doubter:
Manjoo doesn’t really touch on the fact that there are many people on Facebook that are known as ‘creepers,’ they are the old creepy guys that look at people’s photo albums without out knowing who they are. Many of them are hard to identify because they may post a fake picture and lie about their information. Manjoo also refrains from talking about how much time a person wastes on a cite like this, kids neglect their school work, parents neglect their children and students neglect their studies because they are too busy looking at other peoples pictures during their classes. Although he makes a good point arguing in favor of Facebook he makes it by not giving enough arguments against it.
